Quantum Weight Loss

Eat more to lose weight

As I consult Gemini on the science and philosophy of losing weight, and as I try the basic guidelines, caring about calorie intake, types of food, and how I think the day goes for me, I've been becoming much more relaxed than at the start of this journey.

At the very start I was worried about exactness, thinking it's hard to achieve caloric deficit, or proper nutrition, unless following a complicated plan. And now a lot of this has been replaced by a general feel.

The way I view it is like this: It's actually hard to not achieve caloric deficit unless you do very dumb decisions, like eating too much of a fattening food, for no good reason. Or by sitting in your chair all day.

It's important to understand that the body needs certain things to operate correctly, a rich diet with many types of food ensures this. The whole science is actually pretty complex. For instance, consuming sugar can often result in energy spikes & drops, but not if you get the sugar naturally from fruit, due to how the fiber in the fruit interacts with the sugar in your body.

Nurture your body with finely crafted dishes, that include all the types of material your body needs to be healthy.

Try to meet the vitamin quotas. Maybe your mental health is taking a dip lately because of a lack of magnesium? Hard to tell, so I tend to take multi-vitamin pills.

Don't miss on the opportunities to eat rare exotic food, delicious food that might even unlock something in you, a gift.

Just remember to not be dumb. There's a difference between eating 1 of a thing, and deciding that you actually need to eat 5 of the thing. Those lead to different timelines.

Use AI whenever you have a question about what the benefits of a certain food are, and feel proud for consuming it and making your body more optimal. The goal is here is to make the body and mind stronger, closer to the ideal state.

It's eating a lot... of good stuff, stuff that fills, which lead you to not eating for a while, and it filled you with beneficial material.

Aim at losing around 500 kcal daily, or simply put, modest progress. There's no rush. If you train your body to live this way you can keep being this way even if you reach your goal. Find a lifestyle that you don't need to escape from.

The next post is about how giving in to temptation is also important.
