Quantum Weight Loss

Magical Thinking

An (arguably) positive trait of schizophrenia is magical thinking. It kinda is like having a child's mind that makes activities more engaging and exciting because you attach certain importance to them, due to delusions. This happens to me often. It used to be much stronger and engulfing but it has taken a back-seat since I became medicated. It still happens to me, for instance I like video games that make me feel like I'm winning, or discovering, or achieving something real, just by playing, it makes me play more carefully with certain narratives in my head that make the game more exciting.

I think having this trait is helpful for weight loss. Now, I don't know if you can force it, but the perspectives themselves that I'm going to share can be helpful tools nonetheless. Also, at this point, 'weight loss' is going to mean more than losing weight. 'Quantum Weight Loss' is interested not only in the physique, but also the mental, and overall gains, this include currency, experiences, composition, any form of vitality that makes your life richer.

Hygiene

Hygiene is very important. For some time I avoided taking showers due to certain delusions I had. I could go months without taking a shower. At some point this all changed. I started seeing the time in the shower as opportunities to use the hot water and personal care products in the bathroom to gain something. I started thinking that if I received hot water, and if I cleaned my body properly using high quality products, it made me exit the shower richer, several millions richer, which allowed me to live the next few days with more bandwidth, allowing me to look and feel better. I don't take a shower every day, but now I do it every couple of days or so, I cherish it much more now. Something that helped was when I got gifted some fancy 72% olive oil soap. This is a strong soap, and when I think of going to the shower I remember how that soap is going to make it more efficient and worthwhile. This extends to shampoos and face creams that you can use. You can simply think that the better you clean yourself, the more money you're going to gain, secret money.

Order

Getting your room in order is going to make you feel better. For a long time I had a very high level of disorder in my room. This includes my closet full to the brim with clothing I didn't really use, because it was just stored there, lost. A big box full of cables and electronics. A book shelf full of items that should have been organized in a better way. Clothing and items in the floor. I basically was conjuring the worst things to myself. Maybe the disorder triggered and fueled my psychosis in a way, maybe it took away peace and harmony, just by the way the things were, the disorder, it's basically witchcraft against myself. One day I decided to fix this. I spent one day organizing the room in general, I was appalled at how much junk I was throwing away, the new order that was emerging, and how it took me so long to do it. That night I simply slept better. Some days later I decided to clean my closet. Lots of clothing and shoes had to go, I managed to put all my usable clothing folded in proper places.

Bringing order, especially to sanctuaries like your room, is going to improve your mental well-being unconsciously. You know things are better now. Inside of you there's going to me more peace, less conflict and worry. You get to sleep better, live better, have better moods.

Food

When it comes to food, you can value the quality of the food, the ingredients, the combination, the preparation. Think of it like alchemy. A good chef, or a well intentioned person might be able to craft a delightful dish, which you were lucky to enjoy, in this time and space. The food itself provides your body with the nurture it needed, in ways that you might not have been aware of. The dishes or snacks can be gifts of the utmost importance, it can be a transfer of different kinds of riches that can only be given this way. So appreciate the good food you're given.

When it comes to your own food creations, you might be making life itself. If you spend time and energy making a cake, getting the proper ingredients together, baking it, caring consciously for it... when it's done you might have made a being that exists somewhere, or a thing you crafted, or an event to experience, or a gift for yourself and others. Cooking is very powerful. The type and range of the thing you make would be tied to your skill and intention. If you get skilled at creating great food, you could be blessing yourself and your friends on a regular basis, making life richer.

Clothing

Clothing can be viewed as a system of transformation. For this you can think about the equipment system in RPG games, where each piece of clothing can have a specific effect, or how some pieces interact better when combined with other pieces. This modifies your 'stats'.

The composition of your clothing can make you look like a certain thing, or do certain things, in generated worlds that take your clothes into consideration, which might motivate you to try to wear high quality or rare clothing, if you want to be rendered in a certain way.

But something that you can actually perceive is the well-being clothing can bring you. If you consider each piece of clothing is imbued with certain properties, you might start noticing, for example, that wearing a certain shirt makes you act in a calmer manner when around others.

Something that was very strong to me when under psychosis was the colors themselves. I don't recommend going down the rabbit hole of caring too much about adherence to colors due to factions or good vs evil. But some sensibilities of what is lacking in your combinations is useful.

So being well also involves dressing well, especially on important or high stakes situations. Personally I don't know much about clothing myself. I don't know what each brand provides, or what proper fashion sense is, but I can recognize when a piece of clothing, or shoes, are appealing to me. I tend to like things that seem powerful and comfortable.
