Quantum Weight Loss

Picking the right timelines

In quantum physics there is a theory called 'Many-Worlds Interpretation', it involves timelines.

The universe continuously splits or branches into parallel, non-interacting realities during quantum measurements, meaning every possible outcome of a quantum event actually happens in its own separate timeline or "world".

I found this to be an interesting concept to use when talking about weight loss. Because any decision can cause a separation towards different timelines, and deciding what you eat or not eat is a big decision.

For instance you see some interesting but clearly fattening dessert while you are not hungry, you don't need it, it will interfere with your daily goal to reach caloric deficit.

So different timelines open up for you. The timeline where you say "fuck it" and eat it. And the timeline where you skip it.

The timelines take you down like a river through a path. If you eat it you start aligning more and more with the path where you eat like this often. In this set of timelines that converge you probably are fat, and gave up on your goal. The other group of timelines take you to something more aligned with what you want.

I see this timeline thing as having bridges, jumping between paths back and forth, not a simple binary set of paths. But you eventually start converging towards a trend, a certain future.

Just because you ate the dessert it doesn't mean you can't start aligning towards the other paths again, you can still steer it, but eventually steering might become harder or the journey simply ends.

My advice here is to view this with some egoism, think about the other versions of you that ate the dessert, think of them as suckers, they took the bad timeline for you, you win by taking the good timeline, not all versions of you have to win, but you can.

This timeline idea is mostly a tool to use whenever you have to take a decision between giving in to temptation or not.
