What happened to me?
Since mid september (a bit over a month ago), I decided I needed to lose weight. Not just lose a bit of weight, I decided I'll lose almost 38kg, and get /fit/.
Why? Because I recorded a video of myself, and upon seeing it I realized how heavy my breathing was, I was gasping for air, breathing very fast, it scared me. I then weighed myself and saw 118kg.
That same day I started consulting with Gemini about what I could do, how to start eating correctly, and I started doing some cardio.
Since then I've been consulting the AI whenever I have a question about dieting, nutrition, exercise, and as I apply it daily I start to develop a personal instinct about what is going to help me, what things are important, what things are not a big deal, and how to stay focused on the target and not give up.
The goal? Going down to 80kg. But I have set a deadline, march 2028, because that's when I turn 40. I want to reach 40 with good health.
I've been realizing that I had been gaining weight fast due to my poor eating habits plus the fact that I'm medicated with an anti-psychotic that has a side-effect of weight-gain.
Invega Sustenna makes weight-loss trickier because it makes people more hungry, and it reduces the amount of calories the body burns in passive mode. So if a normal person burns 2600 kcal a day, I'll probably burn around 2100 kcal, which means i'll need to eat 500 kcal less just to not gain weight.
My eating habits were pretty bad. I would easily prepare myself 3 flour tortillas with lots of mozzarella or cheddar shredded cheese to microwave them, just if I felt like eating. Or I would eat a lot of bread. I didn't care really. Partly because of my mindset, depression, doom. And partly because I just wasn't interested in my weight too much, even though I was clearly not /fit/, I haven't been fit for more than 15 years.
So this is my path to 80kg, down from 118kg. Will I make it?
I'll make posts that describe my thought process, things that I think will work on me, as I understand this, through practice and by gathering more information, from AI mostly, Gemini.
I'm aware AI can hallucinate and be inaccurate, but I have faith in it for a lot of non-critical health topics, especially since it's kind of an exact science that has been well documented elsewhere.
I'll touch some weird ideas on purpose, hence the name 'Quantum Weight Loss', mostly as a gimmick, but i'll also include some thoughts that I think will be generally helpful and insightful on how to tackle this, for others to learn.
